TVXQ’s JaeChunSu trio to hold “secret” fanmeeting in Korea

Looks like the rift between TVXQ members may be widening - latest rumor has it that Jaejoong, Junsu & Yoochun (JaeChunSu) have been planning a secret fanmeeting with Cassiopeians without Yunho & Changmin (HoMin).

"Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun will hold a fanmeeting in Korea with their fans," an official from Best Hits Song Festival reportedly revealed. "The December event is still being planned, and the date and location have not been confirmed yet."

Although this may not be any indication of a personal dispute between the members, the disunity will undoubtedly be glaringly obvious at this event. Furthermore, what will SM Entertainment think of this "secretive" act of defiance?

Group SHINee member MinHo reveals that his ideal type of girl is KARA Goo Hara and goes a levee date with her.

The 2 had an awkward meeting on the filming set of KBS 2TV variety show ‘Invincible Youth’ on 18th November.

There was a ‘Miss Soybean Competition’ on the show, and for the filming that day, MinHo has picked Goo Hara to catch mudfish together. Even though they are of the same age, the 2 had awkward conversations. And for the whole day, they made soybeans and caught mudfish together.

Also on the show that day, there was a mudfish catching competition. There were many funny episodes where, in order to win, Goo Hara has secretly taken a mudfish with her, darted across the mud pool and fell down. There was also an episode where she did funny body gags in front of friend MinHo.

The show will be aired on 27th November at 11.05pm.

Big Bang and TVXQ receive the Gold Artist Award

And the Hallyu phenomenon continues...

On the Best Hit Song Awards 2009 aired through Japan TV on the 26th, two of Korea's favorite male idol groups received the Gold Artist Award. They were none other than Big Bang and TVXQ.

This has actually been the second time for the senior TVXQ boys to claim this glorifying title, whereas it's a first for the rookie Big Bang boys who only debuted in Japan five months ago.

As many already know, TVXQ is still twisted in a dispute with SM Entertainment regarding their unfair contracts. Due to this reason, the special stage for this event was extra special for the fans who have waited a long time to see the five boys come together as one again. U-Know Yunho expressed during rehearsal, "I really want to go up on stage. I am very happy to be awarded the Gold Artist Award."

Kauhaku Uta Gassen 2009

Japanese broadcasting corporation NHK will be hosting a whole new level of their annual New Years’ Red-White Battle or Kouhaku Uta Gassen. Even though viewership is slipping, they’ve brought in 53 performers (last year was 58) but all performers are supposedly the best of the best in Japan.

Among that list are SMAP, Koda Kumi, Ayumi Hamasaki and the most highly publicized of all TVXQ. NHK was also able to grab Mr. Children, a long awaited special performance that has failed in previous years. So far things are looking up.

The variety show is consisted of a boy (white) VS girls (red) battle that lasts throughout the evening until midnight. The last three years have been won by the white team, but with the elite of Japan there, the tables may turn.

[News] 091124 SM Entertainment VS 632 Fans

The 632 fans of TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, and SHINee are in process of filing application of collective disputes against SM Entertainment-Dream Maker for the cancellation of the planned August 16th SM TOWN LIVE ‘09, demanding compensation for property and mental damages.

Korea Consumer Agency (KCA)’s Consumer Dispute Resolution Committee on last 23rd was asked by applicants related to the case of unilaterally cancellation of “SM TOWN LIVE ‘09″ as they demanded property and mental compensation which follows in collective dispute resolution procedure process on the 24th.

Dispute Resolution Committee initiated this collective dispute resolution procedures, and the committee will receive registration from other victims of this issue to have the same batch remedies from November 25th until December 9th.

Consumers that are willing to apply can log in to Korea Consumer Agency website (www.kca.go.kr) – consultation area (상담 마당) – dispute resolution group (집단분쟁조정), ones need to apply in order to join the collective resolution remedies.

Applicants must be ones who purchased Dream Maker Entercom’s “SM TOWN LIVE ‘09″ through domain auction and in case the applicant is a minor (a person who is under the age), the minor’s parents must apply for the participation as legal representative on the minor’s behalf.

The presentation of this case is about the past contractor’s act of concert postponed or canceled unilaterally therefore asking for liability to refund for any damages had been occurred.

TVXQ’s appearance at the MAMA was surrounded by controversy but even so three members - Youngwoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu made an appearance to greet the fans. According to fans who were there, the boys didn’t have an entourage of stylists, make-up, bodyguards like they normally do.. this time the cassiopeia present did not surround them either, instead they made way for them so that they could leave peacefully and quietly. Here a fan account of a cassiopeia that was present:

she was one of the Cassies who moved out of the way for JaeChunSu as they left.. and she overheard the staff talking.

As the three were getting off the stage..The fans started shouting “Miduhyo! Miduhyo!”and YoungWoong Jaejoong apparently couldn’t hold it back anymore and burst into tears..A Cassie overheard some of the staff talkingand they said that they had never seen YoungWoong Jaejoong cry so hard before….He cried so hard that his screwed his face up and just let it out, not caring about what he looked like…It hurts me to think of them in such pain…..Also, in the parking lot, someone yelled “I believe in TVXQ!”and the three stopped their car..

Yesterday, the three boys didn’t have bodyguards with them so the reporters were all over them so the Cassies acted as their bodyguardsAnd when they were leaving on the van that they had borrowedA Cassie stuck a ‘Miduhyo’ sign on the car windowso the three stopped the car. So they could see it more, so more Cassies could stick these signs on their window.And when the van was leaving, the Cassies acted as blockades so that the three could leave safely.

TVXQ invited once again to Kohaku, but not Big Bang

Last year, TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki was invited to Kohaku and this year they've been invited once again. For those that don't know what Kohaku is and how it's such a big deal, here's an excerpt from wikipedia which explains it pretty well:

"Kohaku Uta Gassen more commonly known as simply Kohaku, is an annual music show on the New Year's Eve produced by Japanese public broadcaster NHK and broadcast on both television and radio, nationally and internationally by NHK's networks and some overseas (mainly cable) broadcasters which bought the program... Literally "Red and White Song Battle," the program divides the most popular music artists of the year into competing teams of red and white. The "red" team or akagumi is composed of all female artists (or groups with female vocals), while the "white" team or shirogumi is all male (or groups with male vocals). The honor of performing on Kohaku is strictly by invitation, so only the most successful J-POP artists and enka singers can perform. Even today, a performance on Kohaku is said to be a big highlight in a singer's career because of the show's large reach."

Unfortunately for Big Bang they weren't invited. Big Bang have said numerous times that they would love to perform at Kohaku. Maybe next year guys, but you have to remember that Big Bang is just starting in Japan. It took many years of hard work for TVXQ before they were invited. Korea’s popular idol group TVXQ, said today that it will resume its activities in Japan.

The group announced through its official homepage that it would be appearing on Nihon TV’s
“Best Hits Song Festival 2009” on Wednesday and Fuji TV’s “FNS Music Festival” on Dec. 2.

It will be TVXQ’s first public appearance together since they performed at
the A-Nation Osaka concert on Aug. 30.

Meanwhile, the main office of Japanese state-run broadcaster NHK announced that,
carrying on their schedule from last year,
TVXQ would appear on the network’s annual year-end variety show, Kohaku Uta Gassen.

TVXQ’s YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu, who are locked in an exclusive contract lawsuit with their agency, attended the ‘2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards’ at the Seoul, Jamshil Indoor Gymnasium and received the Best Asia Star Award.

To be exact, these three members of TVXQ accepted the award on behalf of all five members who received the award for their activities in countries around Asia.

With regards to this, agency SM Entertainment stated, “The three members of TVXQ had no right to receive the award on behalf of TVXQ.”

They also said, “If Mnet was planning on giving an award to TVXQ, they should have contacted SM Entertainment for a replacement receiver but instead they invited only the three members and gave them the award. This is unacceptable.”

A representative of Mnet stated, “We invited all five members of TVXQ to receive the award. However, two members did not respond, and the three other members came to receive the award,” and “There were no problems with the receiving of the award as the three members even talked of the two members who could not attend in their acceptance speech.”

Although Changmin and Yunho were unable to attend due to SM Entertainment's boycott of the MAMA's, all three members, especially Jaejoong made it clear that TVXQ is still as close as ever.

TVXQ to perform at 2009 FNS Music Festival

It has been a really rotten few months for fans of boy group TVXQ who were looking forward to seeing future releases and performances from these boys. The popularity of the boys, who had enjoyed immense fame in all of Asia, has been steadily declining due to the lawsuit that was filed by the trio, Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun against their company, SM Entertainment. No compromise has been reached yet, but as of now, it looks like TVXQ won't be performing together for a while.

But there's some light at the end of the tunnel after it was revealed on the FujiTV website that TVXQ will be appearing, with all five members for performances at the 2009 FNS Music Festival on the 2nd of December.

Looks like fans of TVXQ finally have something to look forward to even after all the gloom!

YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu will be starting their individual activities.

The three TVXQ members have decided to attend cable channel Mnet’s ‘Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA)’ at the Seoul Janshil Indoor Gymnasium on the 21st at 7 pm. The three will be greeting fans 4 months after they filed the exclusive contracts suspension request and one month after they were granted freedom to pursue individual activities by the Courts.

Lawyer Lim Sang Hyuk, who is representing the three members, stated in a phone conversation with reporters that, “We are aware that Mnet contacted the three members numerous times, and after long consideration, the three members have decided to attend the event.”

Lawyer Lim stated, “The Courts have already ruled that ‘SM must not interfere with any individual activities that the members of TVXQ want to pursue’ so there is no problem with the three members attending the event,” and “The decision to attend was their own choice.”

The Seoul District Courts partially accepted the exclusive contract suspension request submitted by YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu, therefore the members are allowed to pursue celebrity related, and unrelated activities freely until the verdict of the lawsuit.

Lawyer Lim Sang Hyuk stated, “Although our stance has become completely different from that of the agency, we still hope that the three members will be able to pursue activities with U-Know Yunho and Choikang Changmin,” and “The same hopes apply to the MAMA stage.”

However, it seems hard for all five members to perform activities together for now. Also, SM is currently boycotting ‘MAMA’ and it seems almost impossible for the five to perform together.

The three members of TVXQ started their individual activities with the first Kpop awards of the end of the year ‘MAMA’ and many are wondering what they will show us next.

Sadding News: TVXQ is not in the lists for nominees

SM Entertainment forges signatures of TVXQ?

We at allkpop have previously reported on TVXQ's Shenzhen concert being cancelled due to legal complications between Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsoo and SM Entertainment. SME claimed that the three members agreed to this concert back in 2008, implying that the three backed out of their promise with SME and the fans; however, the legal counsel of the three member are claiming that signatures the three members made in the contract for the concert have been signed by someone other than the three members themselves.

The legal counsel says that they have acquired the hand-written statement of a person who claims to have signed the contract without consent of the three members. Apparently in the music industry, when artists are busy the company usually just notifies them of their future schedule and then signs related document for the artists.

Most of the time, this custom is accepted without any complaints from the artist but it has become a trouble because the three members are not in good terms with SME. Legal counsel argues that they were not informed of concert in Shenzen and found out about it during the course of preparation for lawsuit.

The case becomes even more complicated than it already was.

5 vs. 3

Despite the 3 TVXQ members attendance, the chance for whole 5 members of TVXQ to attend MAMA seems to be impossible for now.

The other members, TVXQ U-Know Yunho and Choikang Changmin are still attached with SM Entertainment (SM) and maintain good relation with the label, while just a while ago SM already declared boycott over MAMA’s nominees. Therefore, regardless the attendance choice of the other 3 members, the possibility of Yunho and Changmin not to come along with Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu is very high.

Wow! The Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), just may not be a complete failure anymore.

On the 19th, the three TVXQ members Xiah Junsu, Micky Yoochun and Youngwoong JaeJoong have decided to attend the MAMA's which will be held on November 21st.

An Mnet representative stated to Starnews:
"Youngwoong JaeJoong, Xiah Junsu and Micky Yoochun will attend the MAMA's and will be able to greet their fans after being away for a long time."

In addition they stated:
"However, we are not sure yet whether the 3 members will perform or just greet the fans on stage as of now."Well, it's better than nothing right? Finally some good news for TVXQ fans and for the MAMA's.

Kim Bum and Kim So Eun for Bonjuk Calendar

Back in June, the popular couple, Kim Bum and Kim So Eun (So-Eul) from the hit drama Boys Over Flowers got together to endorse the rice porridge chain Bonjuk. Well it seems Bongjuk is offering an incentive for buying their food. At some of the participating Bonjuk's, if you spend over 15,000 won (around $11) you can receive a 2010 calendar featuring the So-Eul couple.

[News] 091116 Mnet Invited TVXQ For Their Year-end Awards

On the 16th, it was revealed by Mnet’s office that they have invited TVXQ, whose members are in the midst of a legal dispute with their management company, to attend their year-end awards “Mnet Asian Music Award” (hereafter known as MAMA). This year’s MAMA will be held on the 21st November, Seoul, Jamsil Gymnasium.

Their office said, “MAMA’s aim is to show the rest of Asia Korea’s culture” and “the award ceremeony will be aired across the 10 main countries in Asia, like Japan, China, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, where TVXQ is the best artist. Thus, Korea’s top artist cannot be excluded from the invitation.”

On MAMA’s end, they have expressed interest in inviting TVXQ to attend their awards. On the 16th, they said that they would get in touch with TVXQ’s management to see whether it would be possible for them to attend or not. However, TVXQ’s company, SM Entertainment has declared that they would not be attending MAMA, so a lot of attention has been cast on TVXQ to see whether or not they will attend.

An official from the KPOP industry said, “Last month, the courts approved a partial injunction to the 3 members’ exclusive contract with the company, and the 3 members are allowed to participate in their own individual activities” and “while we hope that all 5 members can attend together, the possibility of only the 3 members attending is high”.

MAMA is holding their award ceremony on the 21st, which was originally the date of TVXQ’s concert in China. However, SM Entertainment claimed that, “The 3 members expressed that they did not wish to participate in the concert that was to be held on the 21st, and the remaining performances are uncertain.” In contrast, the 3 members’ side claimed that “From the beginning, the China concert (Shenzhen) was not in the contract.”

A representative from a company for idol groups said, “SM Entertainment and the 3 members have differing opinions, and the dispute is becoming more serious. Disbandment might be inevitable.”

If TVXQ breaks up, what will you want to do as an individual?

"If that does happen, I'll gather all my members again. As the leader of TVXQ."
